This is John.
Outside of work you'll find him strength training, cycling or getting stuck into outdoor projects. He likes to stay active.
In terms of work, John is office based, and a typical day sees him moving between meetings and technical problem-solving. These tasks demand sustained concentration.
At some point John started to notice that by the afternoon, he was feeling mentally drained.
Meetings became harder to stay engaged with, and by the evening, he often had little energy left.
Here's his experience, in his own words.
Feeling Run Down
Looking back, John describes feeling sluggish throughout the day.
"During the day, I would get run down and struggle to stay fully switched-on for meetings, and not always be able to think clearly. In the evening, I would run out of energy quickly. This was especially true during the non-summer months."
Alongside the lack of energy, he also found himself picking up more seasonal illnesses than he wanted.
"I usually ended up getting two or three colds between fall and spring."
Although he generally tried to carry on as normal, there were times he needed to take time away from work to recover.
Looking for a Better Approach
